Priority industries in Poland

The country's economy is based on diversified, modern sectors with huge growth potential, present in various regions.

Financial incentives and public aid

Poland offers one of the most attractive support systems for investors in Europe. It's a multi-layered ecosystem that combines tax exemptions, cash grants, and EU funds, allowing for the maximization of investment returns and risk minimization.

Polish Investment Zone (PIZ)

The main support instrument offering income tax (CIT/PIT) exemption for up to 15 years, available throughout the country. This flexible tool allows for investments in a location convenient for the company, without the geographical restrictions of the former Special Economic Zones.

The chart shows the maximum intensity of public aid as a % of eligible investment costs depending on the size of the company. Values may vary by region.

Government grants for strategic investments

The government program for supporting investments offers cash grants for projects of key importance to the Polish economy. Support can be obtained for investment costs or the creation of new jobs. The program prioritizes projects in strategic sectors (e.g., automotive, aviation, IT), innovative projects, and those contributing to sustainable development.

European funds

In the 2021-2027 financial perspective, Poland is the largest beneficiary of EU funds. Huge resources are available for projects related to research and development (R&D), digital transformation, green energy, automation, and robotization. Regional Investor Service Centers actively help companies obtain these grants.

Tax reliefs for innovation

Investors can combine support from the PIZ with other tax reliefs. These include the R&D relief (allowing for an additional deduction of R&D costs), the Innovation Box (a preferential 5% tax rate for income from intellectual property), and reliefs for robotization and expansion.

Local exemptions and support

At the local level, municipalities can offer real estate tax exemptions for up to several years, which significantly reduces operating costs. Additionally, Regional Investor Service Centers (COI) provide free, tailor-made support, assisting throughout the entire investment process – from A to Z.

Success stories of global leaders

Poland is a proven partner for the world's largest corporations, which not only invest but also continuously develop their operations here. Their presence is proof of a stable and predictable business environment that fosters long-term growth.
